The gap is already open

AI adoption is moving faster than policy.

People use ChatGPT, Copilot and AI features hidden inside everyday software to research, write, summarise, analyse and automate work. Often, the organisation has no complete view of what is being used, which data is being entered, who checks the outputs or what people have been taught.

The result: unnecessary risk, slower adoption and weak answers when a client, board member, insurer or regulator asks what the organisation has actually done.

01

Invisible adoption

Tools are adopted informally, so leaders cannot see the full picture.

02

Unclear boundaries

Generic or absent policies leave staff unsure where the real limits sit.

03

Generic learning

One-size-fits-all courses may create certificates without changing decisions.

04

Scattered evidence

Training, policy and completion records live in different places—if they exist.

This is not another generic AI course.

It joins real AI use, practical rules, role-specific behaviour and evidence into one implementation.

One implementation, four outcomes

Move from uncertain AI use to visible, practical control.

See it

A practical first register of AI tools, use cases, owners and review points.

Control it

Clear permitted, restricted and prohibited-use rules grounded in real work.

Teach it

Short, role-specific learning for staff and managers, with scenarios and assessment.

Evidence it

Policy versions, acknowledgements, completions and review actions in one evidence pack.

What is included

Everything needed to diagnose, launch and evidence the first version.

AI Use Register v1

Role and risk map
25–30 minute core learning
15-minute manager module
One role-specific scenario set

How it works

Three stages. One joined-up result.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

We identify your tools, use cases, people, current controls and any issues that need specialist advice.

  2. 02

    Build

We tailor the policy, role map, learning and evidence structure to the way your organisation actually works.

  3. 03

    Launch

We test the learner journey, brief managers, enrol your team and provide reporting and records.

If Neon AI Ready is not the right next step, you still receive the diagnostic report and action plan. No pressure to continue.

Good fit

Built for growing teams ready to act.

  • Approximately 20–249 people already using ChatGPT, Copilot or embedded AI.
  • No joined-up policy, role-based learning and evidence trail.
  • A named sponsor who wants practical action within 30 days.
  • Especially relevant with EU staff, clients, operations or AI outputs used in the EU.

Important scope boundary

Practical implementation, with clear limits.

Neon AI Ready is an operational learning and governance implementation service. It is not a legal opinion, certification, conformity assessment, DPIA, security audit or guarantee of compliance.

Where the diagnostic identifies potentially high-risk AI, prohibited practices or material data-protection questions, the affected scope is ring-fenced and appropriate specialist advice is recommended.

Frequently asked

Straight answers before you commit.

A fit call is designed to decide whether the diagnostic is useful—not to force a generic course into your organisation.

Are all UK organisations legally required to do this?

No blanket claim should be made. The EU AI Act can apply inside and outside the EU depending on where systems are placed or used and where their outputs are used. UK data protection, contractual and governance duties may also matter. The diagnostic identifies scope questions, but it is not a legal opinion.

Does a course certificate make us compliant?

No. A completion certificate can support your internal records, but the value lies in taking appropriate action, tailoring learning to role and context, and retaining evidence of what was done.

We already provide Microsoft or vendor training. Why do we need this?

Vendor training explains a product. Neon AI Ready connects your actual tools and use cases to organisational rules, role-specific behaviour, acknowledgements and evidence.

Is this legal advice?

No. Neon provides operational learning and implementation. If the diagnostic identifies potentially high-risk AI, prohibited practices or material legal or data-protection questions, we ring-fence that scope and recommend appropriate specialist advice.

Can the training run in our LMS?

Yes. The standard offer is delivered in Neon’s managed learning environment. SCORM packaging, client-LMS testing, SSO and integrations can be scoped separately.

What do you need from us?

A named sponsor, a 45-minute interview, relevant existing policies, examples of tools and use cases, a learner list and consolidated feedback within two working days.
